We have an exciting opportunity for highly driven individuals who are ready to make an impact in our high performing sales team.
This is your chance to become part of our newly formed construction team or our existing engineering team. You’ll have the freedom to build your network, develop new opportunities and represent a brand that’s trusted by manufacturers, vendors, and industry leaders across the UK.
Our sales team enjoy the freedom to use our own book flexibility with the ability to utilise our GGS accreditation, or to broke to our 3rd party lenders which include all aspects of commercial lending. We provide not only asset finance for investments in machinery & working capital facilities, but also ABL deals including invoice discounting and term loans. As a result we’ve secured business in the small ticket market, up to the medium & large ticket space with deals exceeding £40m and the capacity to go to £65m+ in the ABL market.
What You’ll Do
- Drive new business in asset finance, invoice finance, and asset-based lending.
- Present products to clients – This is a customer facing role so you will spend most of your time on the road seeing customers with the option to work from home where appropriate
- Develop new business relationships and manage existing client portfolios
- Represent Compass at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities, both in person and virtually
- Compile credit write up’s, assessing a proposals risk to the business and negotiate approvals with underwriters
- Manage your own diary and generate appointments
- Ensure compliance with all FCA regulations and uphold our commitment to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
What you bring
- 4+ years in construction or engineering asset finance with a proven track record in new business
- Proven established relationships and networks
- Ideally you will have delivered not just “flow” new business but also significant trasnactions in their own right in terms of size and complexity
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a natural ability to connect and influence
- Able to identify and analyse new business opportunities
- A proven ability to close a deal
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A proactive mindset with genuine enthusiasm for building lasting business relationships. Being customer focussed is key
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Competence in Microsoft Office tools and a full driving licence
